Abstract

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) seeks partnerships with innovative companies who possess the technical expertise and resources to facilitate the USGS's transition to print-on-demand technologies. The USGS requires the hardware/ software and technical expertise to integrate print -on-demand capabilities in solving three problems with its current printing process.

Global Fiducials Library

Introduction The Earth changes continuously in response to natural processes and human activity. The collection and interpretation of time-series imagery enhances our ability to observe and monitor Earth’s dynamic processes as well as study and understand the rapidly changing surface of our planet. The Global Fiducials Library (GFL) provides repeated satellite imagery of selected locations around the world to help scientists observe, document, and better understand those changes over time.
